What was it like working with Bill Condon? / Come è stato lavorare con Bill Condon?
He’s a director that likes to get involved, and he’s also a writer, so he can adapt things in the moment. Something very cool is that before everything used to be so strict ‘This is how it’s in the book, this is how it’s going to be in the film,’ but sometimes things don’t look as good onscreen as they do in paper, so Bill was very daring in interpretingsome things differently.
E 'un regista che ama mettersi in gioco, ed è anche uno scrittore, così da poter adattare le cose al momento. Qualcosa di molto interessante è che prima di tutto è severo 'Questo è come è nel libro, ecco come sarà nel film,' ma a volte le cose non vanno bene sullo schermo come sul libro, così Bill è stato bravo nell'interpretare le cose diversamente.

We need to talk about the most important part in this movie, the sex scene, what was that like for you? / Parliamo della scena di sesso nel film, come è stato per te?The sex scene is never described in the book, so every single person who read it had their own idea in their mind. The entire time we were filming it we thought ‘"We have to make this look spectacular to everyone,’" and we were thinking on how to meet people’s expectations. But you also worry about how you’re going to look, I had never been so worried about that before, but after seeing how much Taylor works out for the movies, I thought ‘Well, everybody is really going to judge me now,’ (laughs loudly). I always tried to think about positions where where I could tense the muscles, and suck in my belly… Ok, I think I just gave the most vain answer I could come up with.
La scena di sesso non è descritto nel libro, quindi ogni singola persona che ha letto il libro ha la propria idea nella mente. Tutto il tempo in cui giravamo pensavamo '"Dobbiamo renderla spettacolare a tutti'", e stavamo pensando a come soddisfare le aspettative della gente. Ma anche di preoccuparsi di come appare, non ero mai stato così preoccupato che, prima, ma dopo aver visto quanto Taylor lavora per il cinema, ho pensato 'Bene, tutti giudicheranno me ora,' (ride forte). Ho sempre cercato di pensare a posizioni in cui avrei teso i muscoli, e aspirare dalla pancia ... Ok, penso di aver dato la risposta più vana che potevo dare.

So, you were worried about taking your shirt off? / Quindi, eri preoccupato di toglierti la maglietta?
Well, yeah. Especially because in this saga the body of the characters seems to be a big deal. So in this movie I thought, ‘OK, it’s the last one, I’m getting a six pack,’ and I tried, but it’s VERY hard. I worked out so hard for 6 months, so after filming the sex scene the first thing I thought was ‘Time to eat!’.
Be', sì. Soprattutto perché in questa saga il corpo dei personaggi sembra essere un grosso problema. Quindi, in questo film ho pensato: 'Ok, è l'ultimo, farò gli addominali' e ho provato, ma è MOLTO difficile. Ho lavorato duro per 6 mesi, quindi dopo aver girato la scena di sesso la prima cosa che ho pensato è stata 'E' ora di mangiare!'.

How has Kristen evolved all these years as an actress? / Come è cambiata Kristen in questi anni come attrice?
Well, she became an adult. She was 17 when we started, she’s 21 now. Her personality has changed a lot. As an actress, she’s always been very confident, that’s why I laugh when people say she’s shy. She’s not shy at all (laughs).
Kristen è diventata un adulta. Aveva 17 anni quando iniziammo, e adesso ne ha 21. La sua personalità è cambiata molto. Come un attrice lei è sempre stata molto sicura, per questo quando le persone dicono che è timida, rido. Non è così timida! (ride)
